As a preventative measure to having your account hacked, NEVER EVER click a link sent to you in a DM unless you are 100% positive that it's not spam. I've noticed that these type of spam DMs tend to be of the "OMG look at this horrible thing someone said about you (link here)" or "is this you in this picture LOL (link here)" nature, sent by people I am following but whose accounts have been hacked.

However, I anticipate spammers to get smarter in the future and start making their DMs more like regular DMs, so I usually never click on DM links.
