Q. What do you think of link-sharing services like Paper.li?

I know a lot of people user Paper.li. Some Paper.li pages are probably very good, especially if they're curated by someone who focuses on a niche topic and is discerning.

I don't use Paper.li, nor do I check the Paper.li links that people post anymore, even if they @mention me. Why? Many reasons, but the foremost:

- It takes me an extra click to view a Paper.li page and then I have to go looking for the tweet they reshared.

- Last couple times I did click through, I got a pop-ad Paper.li, encouraging me to sign up for their service and start my own automated newspaper. More irritation, more time used up.

- I often Like or thank people for a nice @mention, but on Paper.li I've discovered that sometimes the @mention is just for sharing someone else's content, so I don't want to take credit for the info. But in order to verify what's been shared, I need to find on the user's Paper.li page, and that often mentions going through some of the above hassle.

Hence, I now no longer click through to Paper.li so-called "dailies."
